1. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CEO AND
THE WAVERIDER?
The CEO is personal brain trainer. Users learn to be aware of
and produce three mental states: concentration, deep relaxation,
and relaxed attentiveness. While the user may select different
programs and skill levels within a program they are not able to
create their own protocols. The WaveRider is a multi-modality
physiological monitor with which users may display, analyze,
store, export, and generate visual and auditory feedback from a
variety of physiological signals. The WaveRider comes with a
selection of pre-programmed protocols that address all common
uses of the WaveRider. In addition, the WaveRider software
contains extensive point and click programmability, allowing
multiple signals to be displayed, analyzed and turned into sound
in numerous ways.
2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE
WAVERIDER PRO AND THE WAVERIDER JR.?
The WaveRider Pro has four multi-purpose channels and an
additional dedicated channel of GSR. The WaveRider jr. has two
multi-purpose channels and an additional dedicated channel of
GSR for users with limited requirements. With the WaveRider jr.
one could read two channels of brainwaves, or one channel of
brainwaves plus one channel of muscle or heart, but would be
unable to read any additional channels simulataneously.
3. WHAT TYPE OF COMPUTER DO I NEED TO USE THE
WAVERIDER/CEO?
The WaveRider/CEO requires at least a 486 with Windows
installed. A sound-card installed for Windows along with a free
serial port is also required. Old computers that have passed
through several owners may have non-standard and unknown
hardware devices installed which cause problematic installations
of WaveRider/CEO. These types of computers are not
recommended.
4. WHAT TYPE OF SOUND-CARD DO I NEED?
The WaveRider/CEO requires a Windows Compatible soundcard
that is properly installed for Windows. The WaveRider uses the
MIDI synthesizer portion of the Soundcard. When installing the
WaveRider be sure to select a synth from the MIDI device list
and not the MIDI Mapper or MIDI out.
5. CAN I USE THE WAVERIDER/CEO WITH A LAPTOP?
Yes. The laptop must have a soundcard and free serial port.
Some laptops may experience biological signal attentuation if
run with two-prong transformers in certain wiring systems. This
problem can be eliminated by grounding a metal portion of the
laptop (such as a stud on one of the ports).
6. I WANT TO TRAIN ATTENTION, CAN THE
WAVERIDER DO THAT?
Yes. The WaveRider comes with several pre-programmed
protocols for training attention. In addition you can design
your own protocols using the WaveRider's extensive set of
point-and-click programming abilities.
7. I WANT TO TRAIN RELAXATION, CAN THE
WAVERIDER DO THAT?
Yes. The WaveRider comes with several pre-programmed
protocols for training relaxation. In addition you can design
your own protocols using the WaveRider's extensive set of
point-and-click programming abilities.
8. I AM NOT VERY GOOD WITH COMPUTERS, HOW HARD
IS THE SOFTWARE TO USE?
The software is easy to use. You can begin with
pre-programmed protocols that will address most things that most
people want to do. As you gain experience you can modify these
protocols for your specific needs or create your own
protocols.
9. WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY?
Subject to certain restricitions most products are returnable
within 45 days for a full refund less a 15% restocking fee.
